  • What are your canvas print sizes?
    We offer one of the widest range of canvas print sizes in Ireland. Sizes over 120x80cm are only offered in our chunky Block Canvas profile. Landscape / Portrait Sizes 30x20cm, 45x30cm, 60x40cm, 75x50cm, 90x60cm, 100x70cm, 120x80cm, 130x100cm, 150x100cm. Square Sizes 20x20cm, 30x30cm, 40x40cm, 50x50cm, 60x60cm, 70x70cm, 80x80cm, 90x90cm, 100x100cm. Panoramic Sizes 40x20cm, 60x30cm, 80x40cm, 100x50cm, 120x60, 60x20cm, 90x30cm, 120x40cm
  • How long does it take for my order to despatch?
    We have three service level options for despatch of our prints. Our free despatch takes about 7 days. You can pay €10 for a faster despatch which takes about 5 days. And for really urgent orders, you can pay €50 to skip the queue entirely and get despatch in 2-3 days. Please note that transit time is not included in any of these options as this will vary greatly depending on your location. All of our despatch lead times are based on the amount of time your order will take to move through our production process.
  • I need an urgent print? Can you do a fast turnaround?
    Yes. All our prints are delivered free of charge in Ireland and are available for express despatch if you need them in a hurry. We also offer very affordable worldwide shipping.
  • I have a hard deadline for my print. Can you guarantee delivery?
    No. Unfortunately we are unable to ever guarantee delivery by a particular date and this includes birthdays and Christmas. Please ensure you order with lots of time to spare to cope with unexpected delays in the postal system.
  • Can I order a custom size?
    Yes. We can make custom canvas sizes and frames but lead times will increase for a custom frame size.

Elevate your images with Gallery Canvas Prints

Printing an image on canvas can elevate it into something out of the ordinary, giving it a natural, artistic feel. Our gallery canvas prints are beautifully made. We use premium quality kiln-dired strecher bars with beechwood wedges that can re-tension your canvas over time. Two profile depths are available - our classic profile is 19mm deep, whilst our premium block profile is 40mm deep. Archival giclee print quality, lamination and premium hanging fixtures complete the picture for a canvas print of unrivalled quality.

  • About Canvas Prints • Panoramic

    Premium panoramic canvas prints from 40x20cm to 120x60cm. On 19mm or 40mm deep profiles. 

  • How we make your canvas print

    All our canvas prints are produced in-house using Epson P9000 Surecolor printers and genuine Epson archival pigment inks. We use a 400gsm matte polycotton canvas which we spray with a satin laminate for enhanced UV protection. Our stretcher bars are made from kiln-dried pine, supplied from sustainable sources in the EU. We use beechwood wedges with our stretcher bars for easy re-tensioning of your print over time.

    We hand-stretch every canvas print in our gallery in Kinsale, finishing them neatly on the back with masking tape and hanging brackets. Finally your print is carefully wrapped in polyprop film and bubble wrap before being boxed up and prepared for despatch.

    Our prints don't ship with invoicing information. Gift tags will be attached where gift notes are provided. We ship using An Post and provie full tracking details.

  • Shipping & lead times
    We offer three different levels of despatch lead time, which you can choose at checkout.

    Important: Our lead times do not include transit which wil vary hugely depending on your location. We are not able to estimate how long this will take but typically, in Ireland you shoudl allow 2-3 days for transit.

    Also Important: We offer fast and express levels of despatch. This service relates to the time it will take for your order to despatch. It does not include transit. If you pay for a faster or express despatch, you are paying to move through our production queue faster.

    Standard Despatch: 7-9 Days - €Free
    Our standard despatch is 7-9 days - excluding transit.

    Faster Despatch: 5-6 Days - €10 - excluding transit.

    Express Despatch: 2-3 Days - €50 - excluding transit.

  • What are your canvas print sizes?

  • What materials do you use for canvas and framed printing?

    We print with the Epson Surecolor P9000 series of printers. These wide format fine art printers use Epson’s Ultra Chrome HDX 10 colour ink set for superior light fastness and a wide colour gamut.

    Our Satin Lustre Photo Paper is a beautiful 250gsm photo paper that is perfect for every kind of photo printing in either colour or black and white. This paper has some optical brightening agents to give it a nice crisp white finish. As a satin paper, it does not have a noticeable shine but nor is it entirely flat - a good middle ground.

    Our Fine Art Paper is a heavier 360gsm paper with a little more texture and a matt finish. This paper is perfect for art reproductions and special occasion photo printing such as wedding images or studio portraiture.

    Our Picture Frames are made from real wood and come in a limed white or black. The moulding is approximately 2cm wide at the face. Our frames are beautifully finished on the back with tape and hanging brackets. Our glazing is shatter-proof acrylic - we do not use glass for safety purposes and for trouble free shipping.

    Our Canvas Frames are made from kiln-dried pine and come from sustainable sources in the Baltic States. We use two profile depths. The 20x30cm and 30x45cm sizes come stretched on a 2cm deep profile, while the 40x60cm size is finished on our premium 40mm deep frame.

  • What are your canvas print and framed print lead times?

    All of our lead times are based on the number of days your order will take to despatch from our gallery in Kinsale.

    We do not include transit time in any of our lead times as this is beyond our control and will vary greatly depending on your location.

  • How long will my canvas print last?

    Our prints are designed to last a lifetime under the right hanging conditions. We use archival pigment inks and every canvas is laminated for enhanced UV protection. If you avoid hanging it in direct harsh sunlight, or in a room with high moisture content it should last a lifetime.

  • How do I care for my canvas print?

    Our canvas prints are designed to me very low maintenance. You will only need to lightly dust it from time to time. Use a dry, light feather duster.

  • Can I order a custom size?

    Yes. We can make custom canvas sizes and frames but lead times will increase for a custom frame size.

  • Do you offer discounts on canvas prints and framed prints?

    We offer a 10% discount on your first order when you join our mailing list. In addition, we send regular montly discounts to subscribers of our list for canvas prints, framed prints, wood photo blocks and our complete range of travel posters. These discounts are entirely exclusive to our mailing list and we don't publicise them on social media or on our website. Stay subscribed for these great discounts of up to 20% off.

  • Will you check my file quality before printing it?

    Yes. If you’re unsure about your file’s quality, email it to us for a quick assessment. We ensure only high-quality prints are produced and will contact you if your file requires adjustment.

  • Can I collect my photo printing order from Kinsale?

    Yes, collection is available for all products and can be selected at checkout. Please note, this does not change the lead time.

The Canvas Works Was Founded in 2007 by Patrick Ryan

I’m often asked how and why I set up The Canvas Works. After graduating with Honors from Trinity School of Law, I went into the advertising industry but by 2006 I’d had enough of the rat race and moved to the Ibizian countryside with my now wife, Lynne. We developed the business out there and moved back to Ireland in late 2007 where we settled in Kinsale, County Cork.
